To provide a spark plug for an internal combustion engine and an internal combustion engine capable of improving ignitability.SOLUTION: A spark plug 1 for an internal combustion engine has an insulator 3, a center electrode 4, a housing 2, a ground electrode 6, and a plug cover 5. The plug cover 5 is formed with three or more injection holes 51. When the spark plug 1 is divided into two of a first plug part 11 and a second plug part 12 by a virtual plane P including a plug central axis C, the plug cover 5 has a first injection hole 511, which is the injection hole 51 formed on the first plug part 11, and a second injection hole 512, which is the injection hole 51 formed on the second plug part 12. An inclination angle θ1 of an injection hole axis 511L of the first injection hole 511 to a plug axial direction Z is larger than an inclination angle θ2 of an injection hole axis 512L of the second injection hole 512 to the plug axial direction Z.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
