Abstract:
To provide a spark plug capable of making it difficult to damage an insulator.SOLUTION: A spark plug 10 includes an insulator 12 in which a shaft hole 120 is formed, and a center electrode 13 inserted into a shaft hole 120. The shaft hole 120 includes a first hole 20 in which a seal body 15 is accommodated, a second hole 21 arranged on the tip side of the insulator with respect to the first hole, and a tapered hole 22 positioned between the first hole and the second hole. The center electrode 13 includes a main body 30, a flange portion 31 provided at the base end portion of the main body, and a tapered portion 32 facing the inner wall surface of the tapered hole 22 of the shaft hole 120. A stepped portion 323 having an outer diameter larger than the outer diameter of the main body 30 and smaller than the outer diameter of the flange portion 31 is formed in the tapered portion 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
