Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spark plug which can easily release heat to a main metal fitting.SOLUTION: On at least part of surfaces facing each other, a first insulator and a second insulator respectively have a recess and a protrusion facing each other. In the second insulator, a position in the axial direction on the inner edge of a rear end face exists in an area from the edge on the tip side of a contact face where a packing comes into contact with a step part to the edge on the rear end side of the contact face where a flange comes into contact with a reception part of the first insulator. Because the first insulator is configured such that its abutting face comes into contact with the rear end face of the second insulator, the second insulator is held by being sandwiched between the first insulator and a main metal fitting. It is possible to easily release heat to the main metal fitting because a surface area of surfaces where the first insulator and the second insulator face each other can be made larger.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
