PURPOSE: To reduce the processing time of the title device selectively switching the processing of the device between a process which processes spatial filter pictures by successively inputting picture element date of a picture matrix after alternately dividing the data into two systems and another processing which processes the spatial filter pictures by successively inputting the picture data without dividing.
CONSTITUTION: When four pieces of shift registers SR4 and SR6∼SR8 and two pieces of switches SW1 and SW2 are further provided to a circuit which performs the processing of a simultaneous input mode, spatial filter picture processing can be performed by selectively switching the processing mode between the simultaneous input mode and a single input mode. Moreover, since the maximum number of the shift registers cascade-connected between the input and output of the device is four as compared with the device of the conventional example being connected with five shift registers, the processing time of this spatial filter picture processor can be reduced to 4/5 as compared with the conventional example.
