Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a natural sound field by applying an audio signal whose level, phase or a delay time is corrected to each of plural speaker units and installing the speaker units around a ceiling.
SOLUTION: A speaker array SA is made up of 8 speaker units SP1-SP8, which are arranged so that their front axes Y are in parallel in this paper. In this case, the speaker units SP1-SP8 arranged linearly at an equal interval at an interval (a) so that cones are at an equal position in the direction of the front axes Y. Then an audio signal is fed to the speaker units SP1-SP8 from an input terminal Tin via delay circuits DL1-DL8 and level control circuits W1-W8. In this case, the circuits DL1-DL8 delay the input signal or shift the phase of the input signal and the circuits W1-W8 attenuate or amplify the level of the input signal.
