Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker that is omnidirectional in a direction in parallel with an installed face.
SOLUTION: A speaker 10 includes a vibrator 12 and the vibrator 12 includes a semispherical vibrator 14 made of a piezoelectric body polarization-processed in a broadwise direction. Electrodes 16a, 16b are formed to an inner and an outer face of the vibrator 14, and an input terminal 20 connects to the electrodes 16a,16b by lead wires 18a, 18b. The end of the vibrator 12 is fixed to three spacers 29 in a groove 27 so as to cover a projection 24 of a horn 22. A cavity 30 leading to a hole 28 of the horn 22 is formed between the vibrator 12 and the horn 22. Three supports 32 are fixed to a flange 26 by a screw 34 and then a path 36 leading to the hole 28 of the horn 22 is formed between the horn 22 and the installed face over nearly omnidirectional directions in directions in parallel with the installed face.
