Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a composite material having particularly carbon matrix, and production of and use thereof for especially gas adsorption.
CONSTITUTION: This material contains a microporous phase where 0.1 to 1 cm3/g microporous volume is essentially carbonized and a amorphous inorganic dispersed phase in combination with the carbonized phase essentially consisting of silicon oxide, aluminum oxide, titanium oxide or magnesium oxide dispersed into the carbonized phase with a thickness of ≤10 nm. This invention relates to a method of manufacturing these composite materials and the use of the material as a molecular sieve.
