PURPOSE: To obtain intertwined blended fiber yarns capable of developing loops or entwines by knitting or weaving and heat-treating the yarn to show the harmonious coupling of a soft touch feeling having a fluffy feeling with a dry feeling, and obtaining a woven and knitted fabric having a spun silk-like touch feeling and a touch feeling rich in bulkiness.

CONSTITUTION: This special blended fiber yarn is obtained by intertwining and blending a single yarn group (v) having low shrinking properties and shrinking characteristics (a) to (c) as cited below, with a single yarn group (w) having high shrinking properties, the single yarn group (v) having low shrinking properties occupies ≥20wt.% of the blended yarn and the single yarns constituting the single yarn group (v) become multi-lobar cross section yarns having cross sections satisfying the below-cited requirements (1) to (3) by a weight reduction treatment. (a) the wet heat shrinking ratio (WS) (100°C) of the single yarn group (v): ≤5%. (b) the dry heat shrinking ratio (DS) (180°C): (-) 10-0%. (c) the difference in WS (ΔWS) between the single yarn groups (v) and (w): 5-20%. (1) having 3 or more projecting parts, (2) having in total 2-30 grooves at the projected parts, (3) having at least 2 or more grooves having 1-15μm depth at the top part of the one projected part.
