Title:
SPECTACLE FRAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003329980
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a spectacle frame which can prevent lenses from being dislodged from frames formed in a curved shape.

The spectacle frame is provided with V-shaped grooves 3 for holding the lenses on the inner peripheral surfaces of the respective frames 2, which are formed in a shape curved in the longitudinal direction and in which the lenses formed in a curved shape are held on the inside. The grooves 3 for holding the lenses of the frames 2 are so formed that the angles a of inclination of front slopes 4 are steeper than the angles b of inclination of rear slopes 5 and that the heights h1 of the front slopes 4 are higher than the height h2 of the rear slopes 5. When the frames 2 are bent, the angles a and b of inclination and heights h1 and h2 of the front slopes 4 and the rear slopes 5 are made nearly equal to each other and peripheral edges are engaged with the grooves 3 for holding the lenses of the frames 2, whereby, the dislodgment of the lenses is prevented.
