Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine an amount of inset of a near-sight part of progressive spectacle lenses.SOLUTION: A spectacle lens design method for designing a spectacle lens having a far-sight part with refractive power corresponding to a distant view, a near-sight part with refractive power corresponding to a near view, and an intermediate part provided between the far-sight part and the near-sight part and consecutively connecting the refractive power from the far-sight part to the near-sigh part includes: a measurement process of measuring a direction of a face of a wearer relative to a point of gaze at a near distance; and a determination process of determining respective amounts of inset of the near-sight part for left and right eyes on the basis of a difference between convergence angles of a left eye and a right eye depending on the direction of the face measured in the measurement process.
