The band for holding a spectacle lens from its peripheral edge is formed from a fluororesin monofilament. In this band, the elastic recovery factor of the band 20% extended to be measured based on the requirements in JIS L1013-1999 is 80% or more, a boiled-water shrinkage is 2 to 6%, and a tensile strength is 0.4 to 1.2 GPa.
