To provide a spectacle lens ordering method for ordering as same spectacle lens as possible with the appearance design of a lens assumed by a spectacle orderer at as low cost as possible.
The spectacle lens ordering method includes: (a) preparing a lens base material; (b) having a wearer select the appearance design of the spectacle lens; (c) preparing a trial lens; (d) mounting the trial lens on a spectacle frame; (e) detaching the trial lens from the spectacle frame; (f) removing a decorative layer formed on the trial lens after (e); (g) repeating (b), (c), (d), (e) and (f) until it is evaluated by the wearer that the trial lens is suited to the desired appearance design; and (h) transmitting order information of the spectacle lens, including information on the appearance design.
