Title:
SPECTACLE LENS WITH SPHERICAL FRONT SIDE AND MULTIFOCAL BACK SIDE, AND PROCESS FOR ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011034092
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To easily manufacture a spectacle lens according to a user's individual condition.

In order to all fulfill individual requirements of the spectacle prescription, comprising spherical, astigmatic, and/or prismatic effects and their distribution along the x axis and y axis of the spectacles lens, the rear surface of the spectacle lens is made a multi-focal surface, without points or axial symmetry so that all are satisfied by prescription of the spectacle lens. The front surface has a convex spherical shape or rotational symmetry aspherical shape, and is selected from semi-products, having a limited number (about 10) of different front radii, and processing is performed, talking into consideration user's individual pupil interval so as to provide a progressive multi-focal surface that does not have point symmetry nor axial symmetry on the rear surface and so as to establish the individual requirements, and a spectacle lens attaining all of the individually required dioptric effects is manufactured.
