Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the spectacle lens having a high-grade feel, high refractive index and the surface hardness to substantially prevent flawing by using artificial sapphire glass as a blank material. CONSTITUTION:The artificial sapphire glass is used for the blank material to be used for the spectacle lenses. A front curve R1 and a rear curve R2, etc., are combined by working, such as polishing, to obtain the diopter. This spectacle lens for correcting the eyesight is the thin and fashionable spectacle lens which has >=60mm outside diameter and <=1mm min. central thickness of the lens for near vision and utilizes the high refractive index as the characteristic of the artificial sapphire glass.
