Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to maintain the horizontal direction of the spectacles, to adjust the angle of forward inclination and to set the distance between the peaks uniform on the right and the left so as to meet the individuality of a user by composing the temples of the spectacles of two pieces of upper and lower cord-like materials and fixing members for fixing the ends of these materials.

CONSTITUTION: The temples 10 are composed of the upper cord-like members 11, the lower cord-like members 12, the fixing members 13, connecting cord-like members 14 and ear contact members 15. The respective one-side ends of the members 11, 12 are fixing parts to lenses or lens frame and the other ends are ends to be fixed to the members 13. The other ends of the upper and lower cord-like members are fixed by the fixing members 13. The lengths of the members 11 and the members 12 are adjusted at the time of fixing. The adjustment is executed by relatively changing the lengths of the upper and lower cords in such a manner that the spectacles fit to the face when put on the face, that the spectacles horizontally position parallel with both eyes and that the suitable angle of inclination with the face is maintained, by which the spectacles are set the most adaptable for users.
