Title:
SPECTACLES WITH REAR CHECK MIRROR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07281139
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to check the rear even without turning back by providing the front frame of spectacles with lenses with mirrors formed by integrally molding mirror parts and lens parts.

CONSTITUTION: The spectacles are provided with the front frame 3 formed slightly wider to the right and left than the front frame of the conventional spectacles. The front frame 3 is provided with the lenses 20 with the mirrors formed by integrally molding the mirror parts 2 with the inner side of both outside ends of the right and left lens parts 1. The upper parts of the front frame 3 are provided with temple mounting bases 4 in such a manner that temples 6 do not enter the rear visual field. The front frame is provided with hinges 5 to connect the temple mounting bases 4 and the temples 6. The spectacles are constituted in the manner described above. The front frame 3, when viewed in the state of wearing the spectacles, is out of focus and appears blurring. However, the images reflecting at the mirror parts 2 are virtual images and there are the distances to the rear real images and, therefore, these images are in focus and the visual fields are well reflected and well visible. Consequently, the mirror parts 2 and the front frame 3 are not offensive to the ordinary visual lines. A user is merely necessitated to view the mirror parts 2 without turning back when the user is desirous of knowing the situations on the rear side.
