Abstract:
To provide a spectral texture image generation system which can easily generate a texture image on which a spectral reflectivity of a target object is reflected, with images captured by imaging apparatuses more inexpensive than a hyper-spectral camera.SOLUTION: The present invention is a system which generates spectral texture images of a three-dimensional geometric model in 4 or more bands of a spectral reflectivity of a target object, from multi-viewpoint images. The system comprises: a multi-viewpoint image classification unit which classifies multi-viewpoint images obtained by imaging the target object at different viewpoints by imaging apparatuses having different spectral sensitivities into spectral sensitivity groups of the same spectral sensitivities; a virtual multi-viewpoint image generation unit which defines multi-viewpoint images captured at a prescribed viewpoint as reference images and defines other multi-viewpoint images captured with spectral sensitivities different from those of the reference images as virtual multi-viewpoint images at the viewpoint of the reference images; a spectral image generation unit which estimates spectral reflectance spectra in 4 or more bands from the reference images and the virtual multi-viewpoint images to generate spectral images corresponding to the spectral reflectance spectra; and a spectral texture image generation unit which generates spectral texture images from the spectral images.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
