Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the precision of speech recognition by removing noise showing high likelihood as a result of speech recognition. SOLUTION: An inputted speech is sectioned into frames having specific time intervals and power component of the respective frames are found. A speech section is extracted according to the values of the power components and speech features of the respective speech sections are extracted. According to the speech features of the respective speech sections and a prepared hidden Markov phoneme model, the word having the highest likelihood among words contained in a word dictionary is extracted as a candidate. According to the acquired likelihood, maximum likelihood, and minimum likelihood of each frame, a likelihood reliability rate is found and compared with a previously set threshold. When the likelihood reliability rate exceeds the threshold, the vowel rate in the extracted speech section is found and then compared with a previously set threshold. When a vowel rate exceeds the threshold, the word as the candidate is outputted as a speech recognition result, but when the likelihood reliability rate or the vowel rate is less than each threshold, the word as the candidate is discarded.
