Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate speed-change operation by tilt-controlling the swash plate of a hydraulic motor by a cylinder for speed change in which the communication between the right and left hydraulic chambers is controlled by a speed-change control valve, in the captioned transmission equipped with a swash-plate type hydraulic pump in constant capacity type and a swash- plate type hydraulic motor in variable capacity type. CONSTITUTION:The captioned continuously variable transmission T consists of a swash-plate type hydraulic pump P in constant-capacity type which has an input member 5 into which the revolution of a crankshaft 1 is transmitted and a swash-plaste type hydraulic motor M in variable capacity type having an output shaft 25 integrally formed with a motor cylinder 17, and is equipped with an odd number of plungers 9 and 19 which cooperate with the respective swash plates 10 and 20. In this case, a swash-plate holder 22 which supports the swash plate 20 for supporting a motor swash-plate 20 is supported onto a casing 4 by a trunnion shaft 55 integrally formed with the swash-plate holder 22, and the top edge of an operating lever 57 fixed onto the shaft 55 is interposed between a pair of pistons 621 and 622 fitted into the cylinder 61 of a speed-change controller 60. The hydraulic chambers 631 and 632 in the cylinder 61 are allowed to communicate through a hydraulic conduit 66 having a speed-change control valve 65 installed.
