An ECU 2 of the speed changing controller 1 makes a sleeve 21 of an actuator 30D for fourth to seventh stages slide from a disengaged position to an engaged position while holding a clutch 4 in an engaged state and holding an actuator 30C for third to sixth stages in the engaged state when a transmission is shifted up from the third stage to the fourth stage. In addition, during the sliding of the sleeve 21, when the slid distance ST of the sleeve 21 is longer than a first determination value SREF1 (Step 8: YES) in the case that the sleeve 21 has slid to the balk position (Step 4: YES), the clutch 4 is disengaged and the engagement of the actuator 30C for third to sixth stages is released, and after that, the sleeve 21 of the actuator 30D for fourth to seventh stages is slid to the engaged position (Steps 46 to 54).
