Abstract:
To provide a speed control device for vehicle capable of easily varying control logic at constant travel control, and capable of improving developing efficiency when varying kinds of a vehicle or an engine.
This speed control device for vehicle is provided with an auto- cruise ECU 2 for determining whether it is practicable to execute speed control, and an engine ECU 4 for executing speed control so that an actual vehicle speed of the vehicle is coincident with a target vehicle speed. All of the control logic used for speed control such as a control constant is stored in a memory part 20 of the auto-cruise ECU 2, and the content is transmitted from the auto- cruise ECU 2 to the engine ECU 4 through a CAN 6 as the need arises.
