Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily and economically perform the stepless change and control of the speed of a vehicle in a wide range, by combining a friction clutch with a transmission for effecting the steplike change and control of the vehicle speed. CONSTITUTION:A mechanical main clutch 3 is provided behind and engine 1. A transmission shaft 4 is connected to the driven side of the main clutch 3. A hollow transmission shaft 5 is provided around the transmission shaft 4. A friction clutch 6 is installed at the front end of the hollow transmission shaft 5. The shaft 5 is connected to the shaft 4 through the friction clutch 6. A main transmission 8 for changing the speed of a vehicle is provided between the hollow transmission shaft 5 and another transmission shaft 7. An accessory transmission 11 is provided between the transmission shafts 7, 10.
