The speed display device is configured including: a control unit 8 that controls a display 7 to display a curved speed indicator band 14; and a vehicle speed indicator 15 that indicates a vehicle speed detected by a vehicle speed sensor 9. By viewing the display 7 only, present vehicle speed and the limited speed at the present travelling point can be recognized. As a result, user-friendliness is enhanced. Also, the display 7 is arranged to display the scale graduation in a range of limited speed to be larger than the scale graduation exceeding the limited speed. As a result, a driver can recognize whether the vehicle is running within the limited speed at a glance. In this point also, user-friendliness of the speed display device is enhanced.
