Title:
SPEED GOVERNING DEVICE FOR DIESEL ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0617670
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To shorten the time required for a warm-up and quickly start the normal operation after the warm-up by stopping the metering rack of a fuel injection pump near the start increment position even when the governor force is increased as the engine speed is increased after the engine rotation is started.

CONSTITUTION: The metering rack 4 of a fuel injection pump is interlockingly connected to a governor lever 1 via a mechanical governor 2 in a device main body. The tip section 7 of a start spring 6 is connected to the governor lever 5 of the mechanical governor 2 or the metering rack 4. The base end section 8 of the start spring 6 is connected to an actuator 9. The actuator 9 is linked with an action holding means 10. The exciting force 11 of the metering rack 4 to the fuel increment side by the start spring 6 is increased by the action of the actuator 9 during the preset period immediately after the start of the engine rotation. The metering rack 4 is stopped near the start increment position, and the time required for a warm-up is shortened.
