Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain inspecting a speed governor without changing a rotational speed of a rotary unit by replacing a weight with a speed covernor inspecting weight to increase mass of the speed governor, when it is inspected, and realizing a condition equal to when increased a speed. CONSTITUTION:In a speed governor inspecting device for a passenger conveyer, when a rotational speed of a rotary unit 4 exceeds a prescribed value by accelerating a speed of the passenger conveyer, a weight 11 is slid in a circumferential outer direction, and a detecting switch 5 is actuated to stop the passenger conveyer. Here in the case of setting a speed governor so as to be actuated when the passenger conveyer speed is increased to two times that when in ordinary operation, when mass of the weight 11 is selected to four times, the speed governor can be similary actuated even when the passenger conveyer speed is left as normal. Here for inspecting the speed governaor, first the existing weight 11 is removed, to mount instead an inspecting weight 11 of increasing mass, and inspection can be performed by operating the passenger conveyer left as normal.
