To provide a speed increasing gear of wind power generator and a support mechanism for rotary shaft, capable of preventing the generation of slip in a bearing at low cost.
This speed increasing gear of a wind power generator increases a speed of rotation of a wind turbine. The rotary shaft 19 of a gear to which the rotation of the wind turbine is transmitted is rotatably supported by a first bearing 20 and a second bearing. The first bearing 20 has an outer ring 22 supported by a casing 10a of the speed increasing gear, an inner ring 23 mounted on the rotary shaft 19, and a preload applying member 41 for increasing contact pressure with a roller 24 arranged between the outer ring 22 and the inner ring 23 by partially pressing the first bearing 20 from the outside. The preload applying member 41 comprises a pin 44 capable of advancing and retreating in the radial direction of the outer ring 22 of the bearing and a drive source for driving the pin 44 to advance and retreat.
