This speed increasing spindle device 100 has a housing 2 fixed to a machine main body 1, an input shaft 3 rotated and supported on the machine main body 1, a carrier 6 fixed to the housing 2 and having a hollow hole 5 axially extending from a front end toward a rear end, an outer ring 20 fitted in and fixed to the input shaft 3, an output shaft 30 supported rotatably in the housing 2 and constituting a sun roller 36 in a rear end part, and guide rollers 42a, 42b and a movable roller 43 supported rotatably on the carrier 6, inscribed on an inner peripheral face of the outer ring 20, and coming into contact with an outer peripheral face of the sun roller 36 to allow their rotation. Consequently, a traction drive mechanism 50 for obtaining acceleration output inputted from the outer ring 20 from the sun roller 36 is constituted.
