Abstract:
To provide a speed reducer capable of reducing noise and shortening its dimension in a rotational axis direction.SOLUTION: A speed reducer (1A) comprises a speed reduction unit (10) and an output unit (30) that outputs rotation reduced by the speed reduction unit (10). The speed reduction unit (10) comprises a vibrator (14), a flexible body (16) bent and deformed by the vibrator (14), and an annular body (18) in which the flexible body (16) is inscribed. The output unit (30) has a transmission unit (34) that contacts the inner periphery of the flexible body (16) and transmits autorotation of the flexible body (16) with frictional force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
