Abstract:
To provide a speed reduction mechanism capable of reducing its size, securing a high reduction ratio, improving a transmission torque capacity and realizing stability during operation.SOLUTION: A speed reduction mechanism 1 comprises a rotational shaft 12, a fixed ring 11, a belt 13 and an output ring 14. The belt 13 is wound around a cylindrical part 11b of the fixed ring 11 and a driving part 14b of the output ring 14, and has an inner peripheral surface longer than the outer peripheral surfaces of the cylindrical part 11b and the driving part 14b. A track roller 12d rolls on the inner peripheral surface of the belt 13 while pressing the belt 13 radially outward when the rotational shaft 12 rotates. The outer peripheral surfaces of the cylindrical part 11b and the driving part 14b have dry adhesion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
