Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform the most suitable transfer without any sliding for the material to be rolled and to elevate the quality of product by setting the speed reference of the outlet side equipment of a rolling mill in the specified arithmetic value until the material to be rolled is wound on a coiler and in the prescribed speed value after coiling and by limiting the deviation of the set values before and after the coiling in less than the prescribed value.

CONSTITUTION: The material to be rolled is moved at the speed based on the arithmetic value of VR{1+(r/4)} by an arithmetic device 15 with the presumed rolling reduction rate of the last rolling mill being (r) and the roll peripheral speed being VR, until the tip of the material to be rolled is coiled on a coiler 8. The signal corresponding to the mechanical loss of one of the outlet side equipment, for instance, a deflecter roll 7 itself is then outputted from a mechanical compensator 17. It is then converted into the current setting signal of the driving motor 9 of the roll 7 by a zero current basing device 18 and inputted into a speed controlling device 12 as a new speed reference of the roll 7. The speed variation before and after the coiling of the material to be rolled is limited in less than the specified value by the variation controlling circuit owned by a PI controller 19 and outside speed baser 21.
