PURPOSE: To obtain an enclosed speed signal detector by providing a detecting means having search coils connected in series or parallel.
CONSTITUTION: 32u represents a U-phase search coil wound through slots 1, 12 while 32w represents a W-phase search coil wound through slots 8, 20 and 32v represents a V-phase search coil wound through slots 16, 4. U-phase, V-phase and W-phase search coils 32u, 32v, 32w are connected in series where one end of the U-phase search coil 32u is connected with one end of a lead wire 32f while one end of the W-phase search coil 32w is connected with one end of another lead wire 32f, and the two lead wires 32f are led out through a stator to the outside of machine. Since a detecting means having search coils connected in series is employed, only two signal lines are required to penetrate through a motor end air-tight structure can be established easily.
