A speed varying wheel 10 for deceleration is a speed varying wheel which is used as a freewheel of a freewheel conveyor 20 for transferring a conveyance object 1 by gravity action and which carries out the deceleration control of the conveyance speed of the conveyance object 1. The speed varying wheel is formed into an eccentric cam shape in which a wheel shaft 10b having a rotation center O2 at a position biased at a certain amount e from a circle center O1 of a wheel body 10a having a circular side surface perpendicular to the wheel shaft 10b is projected sideways and has an integral structure with the wheel body 10a. The wheel shaft is rotatably supported by a conveyor frame 3 of the freewheel conveyor 20 and an outer circumferential surface at a short radius side R1, of the wheel body 10a is installed in such an arrangement that the outer circumferential surface forms a linear transfer surface 4 together with an outer circumferential surface of the other freewheel 2 when seen from a side surface direction.
