Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rotation takeout unit of speed meter which can be fixed easily without varying the size of a gear housing while enhancing the strength of a pinion gear for receiving rotation from a tire and the strength at a joint for transmitting the rotation from the pinion gear to a cable member. SOLUTION: The rotation takeout unit of speed meter comprises a pinion gear member A comprising a pinion gear shaft section 1 and a thin planar output side joint part 3 having a first flat face 3a and a second flat face 3b extending from the axial end part of the pinion gear shaft section 1 through a shaft supporting section 2 while facing in parallel with each other, and a cable member B provided with an input side joint part B1 in which a slit-like groove part 6 for inserting the output side joint part 3 is formed. First root part 3a1 of the first flat face 3a and the shaft supporting section 2 is located at a different position along the axial direction from second root part 3b1 of the second flat face 3b and the shaft supporting section 2.
