Abstract:
To provide a spherical band-shaped seal body which can prevent the generation of abnormal frictional noise at sliding friction with the other material, and to provide a method for manufacturing the spherical band-shaped seal body.
The spherical band-shaped seal body 40 includes: a spherical band-shaped base body 38 defined by a cylindrical inner surface 34 defining a through-hole 33 in the center, a partially convex spherical surface 35, and annular end surfaces 36, 37 on large and small diameter sides of the partially convex spherical surface 35; and an outer layer 39 formed integrally with the partially convex spherical surface 35 of the spherical band-shaped base body 38.
