Title:
SPHERICAL GLASS-STATE CARBON POWDER AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3250670
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a spherical glass-state carbon powder having a rollability excellent in handleability a high strength capable of low damage-deterioration and a fine spherical shape and to provide its production method.
CONSTITUTION: The objective spherical glass-state carbon powder having ≥1.0 true specific gravity, 0.1-100μm average particle size and ≥1.2 sphericity. Its production method is composed of the first hardening process where an initial condensate of phenol resin having ≥45wt.% actual carbon ratio is powdered to a fine spherical powder having 0.2-120μm average particle size and ≤1.2 sphericity and then immersed in an acid solution of 10-50°C for ≥30min the second hardening process where the powder is allowed to stand in the air at 150-300°C for ≥30min and the subsequent burning and carbonization process in a non-oxidative atmosphere.
