PURPOSE: To obtain spherical granules of saccharides excellent in miscibility, substantially not classified from other compositions, and useful for premixed foods by allowing a shear force and a mutual abrasion force to act on the crystals of a saccharide and subsequently adhering the partially produced powder of the saccharide or the powder of another food to the peripheral surfaces of the crystals.
CONSTITUTION: The crystals of a saccharide are stirred with a vertical mixer large in shear force to partially grind the crystals by the action of the shear force and the mutual abrasion force. The produced powder and/or the powder of another added food are stuck to the peripheral surfaces of the crystals as nuclei, thus granulating the crystals into granules. Preferably, the crystals of the saccharide is stirred and granulated in a dry state with a vertical mixer in which the rotation circumferential speed of the stirring blade is ≥8m/sec.
