Abstract:
PURPOSE:To form a spherical joint in a compact manner by forming the forward end portion of a ball shaft on a fluid cylinder utilizing a hemispherical both as lock means, and pressing and fixing ball clamping means from the inside. CONSTITUTION:A ball shaft B has a hemispherical body 1 connected to shaft pipe 3 for supplying fluid pressure through a connecting pipe 2 having a flange portion 2t projected in the interior. The cutting surface of the hemisphere 1 forms a cylinder by a round hole 1a caved like a hemisphere as lock means, in which an O-rind 5 is provided as a piston on the side peripheral surface of the round hole 1a, and a conicallyformed push boss 4 is fitted to the outer peripheral surface thereof. As ball clamping means K, a sphere pressing plate 6 is connected to a panel 7 brought into contact with the forward end of the push boss 4 trough a collar 8 of a needed size by a pair of small coned disc screws 9.
