To obtain spherical zeolite granules having a specified particle size, spherical state and practical strength by pulverizing a crude zeolite, classifying into a proper size, dipping the selected zeolite in water to absorb water, dewatering, and rotating with water in a rotating container to form spheres, and then firing.
A crude zeolite is pulverized by a pulverizing means into at least ≥5 mm cubes and preliminarily classified, and the selected zeolite is dipped in water for a specified time to allow the argillaceous content present on the outer surface to absorb water, and once dewatered. Then the crude zeolite with absorbed water is rotated in a rotating container with water by ≥1.8 times weight of the zeolite so that outer surfaces of crude zeolite collide and wear to shape the zeolite into spheres of a specified particle size, and then the zeolite is dewatered. The zeolite is changed into infusible by firing the argillaceous content in a firing machine kept at a temp. of 600 to 700°C. Dewatering after dipping in water may be carried out by by natural drying or hot air drying. As for the rotating container, for example, an agitator is used.
