Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bulk of spheroidal polyester particles in a specific physical and geometrical form.SOLUTION: A bulk of spheroidal polyester particles includes: (a) an lt.V. of at least 0.72 dL/g, (b) (i) at least two melting peaks having a low peak melting point which has a peak temperature within a range of 140°C to 220°C and a melting endothermic area of the absolute value of at least 1 J/g, or (ii) at least one melting point having a heating curve which separates from the base line in the endothermic direction at a temperature of 200°C or less, and/or (c) a degree of crystallinity of 45% or less. The polyester includes 20 mol% or less of carboxylic acid residues other than terephthalic acid residues based on 100 mol% of the carboxylic acid residues thereof, and the polyester includes 4 mol% or more of 1,4-cyclohexane dimethanol residues and 20 mol% or less of hydroxy functional compound residues other than ethylene glycol based on 100 mol% of the hydroxyl functional compound. The polyester particles are not subjected to solid-phase polymerization, and has an angle of repose of 34° or less.
