Title:
SPIKE HARDWARE IN BASEBALL SHOE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2014050659
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To set a thickness of a steel material of a spike hardware to 1.1-1.3 mm from a conventional thickness of 1.4-2.0 mm to lighten an entire shoe and reduce a push-up effect, to prevent plastic deformation and detachment of a base plate between a rising portion of a spike tooth and a through hole while holding a yield point and toughness nearly equal to or above those of a conventional spike hardware even when bending stress and torsional stress are applied to the tip of the spike tooth in time of exercise, and to lighten the entire baseball shoe and reduce loss of exercise energy.

In a spike hardware 20 having a plurality of spike teeth 22 rising on a base plate 21, forming ribs 24 in an outer circumferential portion of the base plate 21 by bending and connecting the ribs 24 to ridge lines 23 of the spike teeth 22 raises a yield point when bending stress and torsional stress are applied to the tip 27 of the spike teeth to prevent plastic deformation and detachment of the base plate 21 between a rising portion of the spike teeth 22 and a through hole 26 while securing toughness in a conventional heat treatment method.
