PURPOSE: To facilitate walking and running by setting a proper heel height for a spike shoe for baseball and shifting the center of the load applied onto a foot to a front foot part and permitting the smooth shift in the forward direction from the kick-out of the leg.
CONSTITUTION: A spike shoe for baseball consists of an outer sole 1 having spikes 2 on the bottom surface of a shoe bottom, intermediate bottom 4, and an interior sheet or cup-in sole 5. The heel part of an outer sole 1 is made thicker than a tiptoe part and a pole part. Each wedge-shaped mid sole 3 is formed on the heel part of both the intermediate bottom 4 and the outer sole 1. The heel part of the interior sheet or the cup-in sole 5 is made thicker than the tiptoe part and a pole part. A wedge-shaped heel member 7 is installed on the upper surface of the cup-in sole or between the cup-in sole and the intermediate bottom 4. A heel height of 5-25mm is formed by using one or two or more of the above-described methods. When the heel height of 5-25mm is set, the arch of a foot acts as spring by the extension and contraction of the muscle of the instep of a foot, and the kick-out force of a front foot part is assisted, and the motion of walking, running and jumping can be carried out reasonably and the burden for the foot is lightened, and the foot is prevented from being damaged.
