PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition and method used for spinal fusion surgery.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for accelerating bone union in spinal fusion surgery, and comprising administering a composition containing a solution containing a biocompatible matrix and a platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) to a desired spinal fixation site, and in which the solution is incorporated into the biocompatible matrix, the biocompatible matrix comprises a bone scaffolding material, and the bone scaffolding material comprises porous calcium phosphate or an allograft.SELECTED DRAWING: None
