Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle cap adapter for a fire hydrant, in which the spindle cap of a spindle for the fire hydrant with a polygonal engaging projecting section incapable of being engaged with a square-shaped engaging recessed section in standard specified size at the front end of a spindle-cap rotary handle for the fire hydrant is rotated by the above-mentioned handle and the fire hydrant can be opened and closed.
SOLUTION: A square-shaped engaging projecting section 16 mutually fitted to a square-shaped engaging recessed section in standard specified size at the front end of a spindle-cap rotary handle is projected on the top face side of an adapter body 12. The spindle cap adapter 10 for the fire hydrant is constituted so that the engaging recessed section 14 mutually fitted to the engaging projecting section at the upper end of a spindle cap is formed on the underside side of the adapter body 12, spring pieces 26 are arranged on the outside of the adapter body 12 while hooking sections 28 are formed on the insides of the front end sections of the spring pieces 26, and installation to the spindle cap is facilitated while slipping-off is prevented after installation.
