To provide a spindle device which can increase a speed increasing ratio without changing the number of poles of a generator or a motor.
This device has an input shaft 1 (including a cylindrical part 12) connected to a driving source, an output shaft 3 disposed concentrically with and rotatably relatively to the input shaft 1, and a fixed member 2 disposed around the input shaft 1. A generator 4 which generates electricity by a relative rotation motion of the input shaft 1 to the fixed member 2 is disposed between the fixed member 2 and the input shaft 1. A motor 5 which is driven by the electricity generated by the generator 4 and rotates the output shaft 3 relatively to the input shaft 1 is disposed between the input shaft 1 and the output shaft 3.
