Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight spindle that is reduced in the number of parts, has a simple structure and an enhanced feature, and the lightweight spindle that has a vibration function vibrating fast in addition to the enhanced feature, and provide a honing machine that performs fast reciprocating action of these spindles along the axial direction at low cost.SOLUTION: A spindle includes: a magnet section 20 immovably mounted to a housing 12a and generating a magnetic field in the direction perpendicular to an axis line OX; a coil section 30 capable of vibrating along the axis line; and a connection 40 including regulation means 42 for connecting a rotary spindle 11 with the coil section and regulating the follow-rotation of the coil section to the rotational drive of the rotary spindle, and driven means for making the rotary spindle be driven with the vibration along the axis line of the coil section. The spindle is characterized by having vibration application means for vibrating the rotary spindle, the connection and the coil section along the axis line by the electro-magnetic force based on the magnetic field generated by the magnet section and an electric current flowing into the coil section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
