Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve machining efficiency by providing a calculating means calculating the lift end of a spindle unit based on the output of a detecting means and the output of a gap setting means when the machining position is moved.
CONSTITUTION: A spindle unit 10 is moved toward a work before the start of machining, a pressure foot 14 is brought into contact with the upper face of the work, and relative movement is generated between the spindle unit 10 and the pressure foot 14. The position of the spindle unit 10 is detected by a detecting circuit 17 when the relative movement is detected by a sensor 15. The gap quantity set in a gap setting circuit 20 is added to the detected result, the lift position, i.e., lift end, of the spindle unit 10 is calculated by a calculating circuit 21 when the machining position is moved, and it is set in an NC device 22.
