Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor that can prevents drop-out of a rotor even when the rotor receives a force more than a magnetic attraction force, and that can be disassembled when needed.SOLUTION: A spindle motor has: a rotor 10 having a rotation shaft 11; a bearing 21 supporting the rotation shaft 11 rotatably; a cylindrical bearing holder 22 fixed to an outer peripheral surface of the bearing 21; a stator substrate 24 arranged on an outer peripheral surface of the bearing holder 22; a bottomed cylindrical thrust bearing material 23 covering a lower end side opening of the bearing holder 22; and a drop-out prevention member 12 attached to a lower end of the rotation shaft 11. The bearing holder 22 has a male screw part 22D on the outer peripheral surface, and the thrust bearing material 23 has a female screw part 23C on an inner peripheral surface. The stator substrate 24 is fixed so as to be sandwiched between an outward flange 22C provided to the outer peripheral surface of the bearing holder 22 and the thrust bearing material 23 in a state that the male screw part 22D and the female screw part 23C are fastened with each other.
