Abstract:
PURPOSE: To contrive efficient roll-changing work by surely supporting couplings and stabilizing the posture.
CONSTITUTION: In a spindle support 30 for supporting the couplings 28, 29 which are mounted in the tip parts of spindles 26, 27 for driving work rolls 11, 12 in attachable/detachable contact at the roll changing height, lower part supporting members 49, 50, 57, 58 for supporting the undersides of the couplings 28, 29 are provided and also side part supporting members 53, 54, 61, 62 for restraining the movement in the direction that the couplings 28, 29 are separated from the spindles 26, 27 are provided.
