To remarkably shorten the change time of an equipment at the time of the change of rolls, to achieve heat exhaust as much as possible by an oil circulation flow and the uniformalization of temperatures, and to avoid the contamination of circulating oil, which is speeded up by the operation of the device.
The spindle with the respective gear couplings is surrounded by tubes 17, 18 at an interval in the radial direction, and annular oil return paths 19, 20 are formed. The tip part on the transmission side of the tube is open, and reaches the inside of an oil receiving casing 14 provided there for oil flowing out. The oil return paths are connected to center paths 10, 11 through spindle sleeves 21, 22 with internal teeth on the roll stand side so that oil is circulated, and the outsides of the tubes 17, 18 are pivottaly mounted, guided and sealed to the spindle sleeves 21, 22 through ball joints 25, 26 arranged on the tubes on the roll stand side.
