PURPOSE: A spinning unit in which both of shafts supporting the inner and outer rotors ae opposed to each other at the end surfaces and a friction wheel is provided on the shaft of the inner rotor so that the differential rotation is made possible, thus assuring the safety on the oiling and producing high-quality spun yarns.

CONSTITUTION: One shaft 3 for the outer rotor 1 and the other shaft 4 for the inner rotor 2 and friction wheel 5 are arranged so that they oppose to each other at both of end surfaces 3f and 4f. The outer rotor 1 revolves and the friction wheel 5 is pressed to contact with the depressed inner surface 1b, resulting in a differential revolution at a ratio in diameters of the inner surface 1b and the friction wheel 5. At the same time, the inner rotor revolves together with the friction wheel 5. This device is simple in mechanism and unnecessary for a traveller that woued give damages to the yarn, thus producing inexpensively good-quality spun yarns.
